Forbes heralds Ekkist founders in Europe’s 30- under-30 innovators list

The co-founders of “architecture for wellbeing” consultancy Ekkist have been heralded in an index of Europe’s top innovators, by HNW business magazine Forbes.

Olga Turner and Jonathan Baker started Ekkist at the start of 2018, quickly making a name for themselves in sustainability and design circles thanks to a ground-breaking collaboration with RIBA Awards-winning architects Studio McLeod – which resulted in the creation of “Ori House”, with blueprints for a home designed specifically to enhance occupant health and well-being.

It sounds like it’s been a busy first year for the Ekkist team, since PrimeResi caught up with Turner last April. The firm has launched a new natural furniture range, called “Ori”, with Another Country; has adapted designs for the Ori House on behalf of a private client, and worked the project through to pre-application stage; advised Kent Wildlife Trust on its new visitor centre; consulted on interior design practice House of Grey’s new studio in Archway, helping to make the space better for staff wellbeing, and advised on some significant new build-to-rent and commercial property developments.
